Our Story

Fahimta Advancement Academy is a registered corporate educational body established under the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The academy operates with a firm commitment to educational excellence, capacity building, and advancing human development through knowledge dissemination.

Founded on principles of integrity, innovation, and inclusivity, the academy is governed by an appointed Board of Trustees (BOT), bringing together distinguished individuals with extensive experience in education, governance, and public service.

Our name "Fahimta" translates to "understanding" in Hausa, reflecting our commitment to practical knowledge that transforms lives and communities.

Engr. Musa Daji Abdullahi, MFR, FNSE

Founder & Chairman

Engr. Musa Daji Abdullahi is a veteran Nigerian engineer and academic with degrees from Manchester and ABU Zaria. He has served as Director of Engineering Services (Federal Ministry of Works & Housing), Founding Rector of Katsina Polytechnic, and Pro-Chancellor of Umaru Musa Yar’adua University. A Fellow of several engineering bodies, he was awarded the national honour of MFR in 2005.

Haj. Saudatu Mahdi, MFR

Board Member

Hajiya Saudatu Mahdi is a renowned women’s rights advocate and the Secretary General of the Women’s Rights Advancement and Protection Alternative (WRAPA). She has led landmark initiatives advancing women’s access to justice and human rights in Nigeria. Honoured with the national award of MFR, she is widely respected for her decades of service to gender equality, community empowerment, and social justice.

Abdu Halliru Abdullahi, alumni of ABU Zaria and Brunel University. Former banker and business man also Former Registrar Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic, pioneer and two term Registrar Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Katsina. Fellow Nigeria Institute of Management.

Lawal Yarinchi Ibrahim, holds a degree in Political Science and was a lecturer with a strong record of public service engagement. He has contributed to academia through teaching and mentoring in higher education institutions.

As founder of CMYK Systems & Tech Limited and a volunteer leader in community organizations, he combines technical skill with strong leadership and creativity, thriving in collaborative environments that foster innovation and growth.
